• Enable students to compare the curricula, media, creative practices, and career paths of various art and design disciplines and identify the fields that interest them.
• Provide students with opportunities to take foundation courses and participate in creative activities in the departments they are considering, helping them understand each discipline’s curriculum and approaches to teaching and learning.
• Help students assess how well their interests and abilities align with the majors they are considering through academic advising and mentoring from faculty members in those fields.
• Guide students in selecting a major and developing an academic plan for their chosen department by drawing on their exploration, learning experiences, and faculty guidance.
