Educational Objectives

As one of modern culture’s most seminal industries, animation is a discipline that requires artistic imagination in 2D and 3D, real and virtual, as well as technical precision.

The Animation Department aims to train and foster animation specialists in the culture industry by providing a practical curriculum that includes planning, design, production, and post-production techniques and procedures. Since its establishment in 1995, the Department has been acknowledged for its expertise and excellence. It set up the first independent animation curriculum in Korea, focusing on practical training. It also introduced a new method of academic industry collaboration by operating the Kaywon Seed Contents Production.
