Communication means so much more than just verbal skills.
With that in mind, the Communication academic discipline is based on other senses such as what we see, feel, and imagine. Its goal is to train creative and professional designers who can bring about changes in society within the contexts of new concepts and values. This department is sub-divided into the Advertising & Branding Department and the Visual Communication Design Department, both offering foundation and concentration level courses.
Advertising & Branding
The Department of Advertising and Branding fosters ‘Brand Value Creators’ who respect themselves, collaborate with others, and create and execute various values for social communities. Brand Value Creator works to create a brand with new values and stories that civil society and the market need, and to plan and execute communication in an integrated manner. The three specialization strategies are: ① creative and convergence education, ② major competency-based expert education, and ③ social entrepreneurship startups activation.

Visual Communication Design
The Visual Communication Design Department engages in producing messages with flexible concepts though a wide range of visual design principles and representation that aid in communication within society. Its curriculum focuses on the needs of relevant business fields, offering creative typography and image layouts to expand the various applicable media. The goal is to train designers who are capable of social value creation, communication and collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving.
